Lunchtime Friday

Our time in Tufi is almost over. We have just finished lunch, and will have our awards and tshirt presentation shortly. We are still on schedule for a 5.30pm arrival in POM. 

Local School

We walked down to the local school. Two classrooms have been burnt down so the school is closed. They are building 2 new classrooms and obviously need help.

Day 5

We are all shocked that this week has gone so quickly. Today we have to pack up, have our awards ceremony and we also hope to visit the local school, which was unfortunately burnt down. 

We are still due into Port Moresby at 5.30pm, so we will see you then!!!

Ella, Lorin and Isobel who sang "I really don't care," by Demi Lavato. They were fabulous!

Thursday Night

Tonight is talent show night. We are all excited to see what treats everyone has prepared. There's a rumour Miss K will be singing....

Beach

What a day!

We returned from our snorkeling and beach day at about 3.30pm. It was fantastic. We will let the photos tell the story....

Day 4

We have woken up to another beautiful day. Mr Zilling tells us that this is the best day of the trip. We will be snorkeling near Komoa Beach followed by a barbecue lunch. We will post photos after our return to the resort. 

Another day down

We have finished our dinner, Shepherds pie and salad, followed by ice cream and fruit salad. It was delicious. We are just playing some table tennis and pool before heading off to bed. Time is going so quickly. Goodnight. 

Afternoon Games

TEMIS played Tufi in a game of soccer this afternoon. With a little help from some local players we managed to draw 10 all. It was a very open game!

More Fjord

On the Fjord.

We spent a relaxing afternoon on the water checkin out the Tufi Fjord. So many local people live on the ridges and also on the waterfront. What a beautiful spot!

Day 3

We have woken up to overcast skies today. We are getting ready to split, with half the group kayaking and the other half off to the lookout. It should be fun!

End of day 2

We have had another good day, finishing off with some music and dancing after dinner, followed by table tennis and pool. We are looking forward to a cruise on the Fjord tomorrow. Goodnight!

Day 2

Day 2 has arrived and after a good night's sleep we are ready for more adventures. Our biggest problem so far is keeping Monty away from the pool table!

An early night

Everyone was do tired after their early start that we decided an early night was best for all. All settled by 8.35 pm so we can be ready for a big day tomorrow. Goodnight.

Half the group trekked to the lookout to see the Fjords, which were stunning! 

Soccer time

We had some time before lunch to spare so some had a walk to the wharf whilst others played some soccer with some local children. It's great to have some freedom.

At the resort

We have arrived and have just had our welcome drink. We are now waiting for room allocations.

It's 8.00am and we are boarding our new plane.... Bye again! We are going straight to Tufi..

A slight electrical problem with the plane has meant that we have had to go back to the departure lounge to wait for a new plane.....

Dear Parents,

Our first flight should have arrived in POM at 2:45pm. The second flight is expected to arrive at 5:25pm.

Day two, TUFI 2014

Yesterday, after creating fabulous dishes from the market challenge, kayaking, hiking and then playing spot light, all were quiet by 9pm.

Today, we have had another great day! We spent the morning on a cultural tour and the afternoon kayaking and hiking once again.

Due to internet problems there are no more updates at the moment.
Children text parents every day, everyone is ok and enjoying themselves.
